Kurou entered his training arena in the hidden mist village. He was training in a new technique that he had thought of earlier that month. He had no time to get to it up until now. He was going to be training a lot recently. Especially in the use of his sand techniques. But first he wanted to train the water techniques. This attack utilized the caster's control over water and used it to create water spikes all around the user creating large cutting and stabbing weapons for close by enemies. This was more effective against taijutsu users and close range fighters. But could be used to go longer ranges and also used to stop enemies from leaving a particular field of battle. The only weakness of this technique is that there is an open gap in the top of the attack over the caster. Making it so enemies can drop in and out. But if the user puts in enough chakra to raise the height to a point where it would be very difficult for the enemies to get over them. Something kurou could do because of his large amount of chakra. This gave him a large stride in the field of combat with most of his jutsu. So began training this jutsu. First he had to focus his chakra into the water in the air or in the surrounding area. Thankfully for kurou he carried around two gourds. A large normal gourd on his side. And the other which was larger on his back, but still smaller than the jinchuriki he fought had. The smaller of the two held extra water. Although it was small it could hold copious amounts of water. It popped open quickly and went all around kurou in a three hundred sixty degree angle around kurou. Then the made a series of quick handsigns and shot out the spikes from the ground high into the air. Although this was good kurou had to practice his jutsu without the gourd, since he usually drank this water. So he refilled his small gourd with water at a stream close by, and then put his chakra into the water in the air. The water gathered in the three hundred sixty degree angle around him in a circle of water. And then he made a hand sign and it shot up with power. Although it wasn’t good enough, he hadn’t gathered enough water and didn’t use enough chakra to create a powerful stream of water with enough cutting power. So he tried gathering more water. Using more chakra to put into the water: gathering it around him in the circle. He compacted the water into the circle which would probably give it more pressure. Which he could convert into power for cutting the opponents and targets. This would mean he didn’t have to put in so much chakra to create higher spikes of water. Kurou after he compacted the water used his chakra to shoot it up. It went up definitely higher and had good cutting power. But kurou thought he needed more water, and wanted great cutting power. So much that he would be able to mow through enemies with one cut from this attack. Kurou basically wanted to go above and beyond with this jutsu. So he created more water by gathering water in the air around him. He gathered as much as he possibly could. This time he had enough water. So he put it into a circle around him. Using the whole three hundred and sixty degrees. Finishing by using his chakra to shoot up the water from the circle around him making amazing fast spikes shooting. These would easily cut through enemies.

Training in: Armor of Sand

Kurou entered the training arena. He was about to begin on his first sand based jutsu. This one was good for defensive purposes. This one was a literal life saver. It would create and incase him in a layer of sand protecting him from fatal blows. The power of this was great, and took a lot of chakra to maintain. It would slow him down and give him excessive weight. But it would do more good than harm. This technique was something kurou saw during his fight with the jinchuriki of the one tailed shakkaku’s. He adapted it to his own version that he could use in battle. He would compact the sand tightly, but still have thin air between the sand so he could still move under the coating of sand. Since he didn’t want to completely take away him mobility. Kurou released sand he kept in his larger of the two gourds he kept. The sand went around him and he put the sand around him and on his skin. He then signaled for his friend to fire and attack at him. He was hit by the attack and the outer shell of sand quickly was destroyed and was virtually ineffective. He was on the ground bleeding. Then the medic ninja came over and healed his wounds. Kurou got up and was ready to try this again. He thought he must not have compacted the sand tightly enough, leaving to much air there. This would increase mobility but lower defensive qualities, making the technique useless altogether. So he gathered up the sand with the wind and put it back in a layer on his skin. Creating a shield of sand across his skin. He then released air from the sand making it compact and stronger. He then signaled for his friend to attack him with another jutsu. It failed again, this time because the sand was placed improperly, along with too much air within the sand. He had to figure out a way to get rid of the excess air. The sand misplacement was simply a one time fluke. So he got the medical ninja to heal his new wounds and gathered the sand again. He created another layer of sand over his skin. He then released more air than before he felt incredibly slow compared to the pace he was usually moving at. He signaled for his friend to try hitting him again with the jutsu. This time the jutsu protected him well, but he couldn’t move much afterwards. In a combat situation this would leave him open for attack. So this time he actually got rid of too much air from the sand armor. So he released his sand armor and took an exhale. “I couldn’t breathe in that thing.” He said gathering the sand again. This time he didn’t need a wound healed since the armor held together firmly, but lacked air for mobility. Kurou put up more sand around himself making the second layer of sand. He hoped he would get it right this time, considering last time he couldn’t breathe or move. And before that he was constantly wounded by the attacks that went through the armor directly at kurou. This time he signaled for his friend to attack and he released the air compacting it. But he left enough air to breathe and move around. The attack neared and he hoped that he had executed this right this time. As soon as the attack made contact the defense worked and the attack didn’t penetrate, but kurou could still breathe and move around. He had successfully done the sand armor jutsu.
